cold buster smoothie

I am sick today. Boo.

Actually, I have been sick since Sunday…but this is the first day of work I’ve missed because of it and I am determined to not miss another. Prayers are much appreciated!

Cold buster smoothie to the rescue! This refreshing smoothie is packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, antioxidants, and lots of minerals. Drink this smoothie down whether you are sick or well! Either way, it is great for you and will give you the energy you need to face the day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large handful of fresh cranberries
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 5 large strawberries
  • 5 watermelon chunks (Note: I like to puree watermelon while it is in season and then freeze it in ice cube trays so it’s always on hand for smoothies. Fresh is great too!)
  • 1 cup 100% apple juice

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until combined. If it is too thick add some water or more apple juice.
  3. Enjoy!
